Short version: your voice stays on your device, we collect no personal data, and we set no cookies.
Your voice and microphone
When you press start, your browser asks for permission to use your microphone. The sound is analysed live, in your browser, to find its pitch. It is not recorded, stored or sent to us or to anyone else, and the page contains no code that does so. When you press Stop, finish the test, leave the page or switch to another tab, the microphone is switched off. You can confirm this in your browser’s developer tools (Network tab), where no audio is uploaded.
What is saved on your device?
Nothing. The site does not use cookies, local storage or similar. The “Save as image” button creates a picture in your browser and downloads it to your device.
Forms and accounts
There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms on this site. We do not collect email addresses.
Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To see how many people use the site and which pages they visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not set cookies, does not use your browser storage or fingerprinting, and does not identify individual visitors. We only see aggregated numbers such as page views per page, referring sites, countries and device types. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports each page view to Cloudflare. Nothing you sing is included.
Advertising
The site currently shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies. If we add advertising (for example Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this page before it goes live and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
